Evelyn (Snookie) Urbanovsky, age 75 of West, passed away November 30, 1998 at West Rest Haven. A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. December 1 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, by Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian Burial was at 2 p.m. December 2 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Melvin Dornak as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Urbanovsky was born on November 13, 1923 in West, the daughter of Louis J. and Sidonia Snokhous. She graduated from West High School and 4-C Business College. She married Ernest J. Urbanovsky on September 3, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1990. She worked as a teller for State National Bank in West for over 20 years until she retired. She was a polka music fan and loved dancing. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and a lifetime member of K.J.Z.T. St. Ludmila Society No. 11 in West. She is survived by one son, David Urbanovsky of Fort Worth; one daughter, Cynthia Hannes of West; two brothers, Jimmy Daniels of Guatemala and Raymond Snokhous of Houston; one sister, Angeline Sulak of Chalk Bluff; four grandchildren, Heath Hannes, Heidi Hannes, Holly Edgington and Ryan Urbanovsky; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Edgington, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers were Heath Hannes, Ryan Urbanovsky, Charles Sulak, Jake Witzel, Bobby Uptmor and Sean Grantham. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
