Ernest J. Urbanovsky, age 74, a retired farmer and machinist from West, died Friday, June 15, 1990 in a Temple hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Saturday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 6 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Urbanovsky was born October 21, 1915 near Cottonwood and was a resident of West most of his life. He was a World War II Army veteran and a charter member of V.F.W. Post #4819 of West. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He married Evelyn Snokhous. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of West; one son, David Urbanovsky of Fort Worth; one daughter, Mrs. Jodie (Cynthia) Hannes of Copperas Cove; one sister, Sophie Kolar of West and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Harold Alexander, Paul Lehman, Richard Kaska, George Polansky, Ralph Jupe and Henry Urbanovsky. Honorary pallbearers were members of V.F.W. Post #4819.
