Bio

Edward Joseph Urban, 21, of Route 2 Abbott, died at 4:45 a.m. last Friday in Hillcrest Hospital in Waco of injuries resulting from a collision of his automobile and a semi-trailer truck on Highway 84, one mile north of Waco at 11:50 p.m. Thursday. Eddie Urban attended Abbott High School and worked for Cameron Mills in Waco before last being employed by the Texas Highway Department. He worked weekends at Pareya’s Humble Station on the Y. Funeral services were conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday, February 6, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Abbott, the Rev. Charles Smid officiating. Burial was in St. Mary'’s Cemetery at West. Pallbearers were Billy Ray Grimm, Alphonse Soukup, Steve Soukup, three cousins, and Geo. Soukup, Jr., Albin Picha and Albert Kaska.
