Mrs. Emil (Christine) Slovak, age 80, of Rt. 1, West, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 1, 1994, in West Community Hospital. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Melvin Dornak as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mrs. Slovak was born July 14, 1914, in Elm Mott and had lived in the West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She married Emil Slovak on May 31, 1939, in Waco. Survivors include her husband, Emil of Rt. 1, West, one son, Stanley Slovak of Duncanville; one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Evelyn) Cepak of Rt. 1, Abbott; three brothers, Henry Urban of West, Rudolph Urban of Waxahachie and William Urban of Bellmead; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Rejcek of Covington and Mrs. Millie Rejcek of Waco and 5 grandchildren.
