Millie Anna Rejcek, 85, formerly of Waco, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, in Bay City, Texas. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at St. Louis Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Leibham as celebrant. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park in Waco. Rosary will be recited 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Connnally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Millie was born in West, Texas, to the late Lillie (Soukup) and Peter Paul Urban, one of eleven children who grew up on a farm there. On Nov. 15, 1948, she married Raymond G. Rejcek. Millie was one of the first members of the then newly formed St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. A gifted cook and flower gardener, Millie shared many cuttings from her beautiful gardens with neighbors, family, and friends. Family gatherings and being with her grandchildren were her joys. She was a sweet and gentle soul. Preceding her in death was her husband of 37 years; and daughter, Cecelia Blocker, in 2009. Left behind to cherish her memory are sons, Milton Rejcek and wife, Diane, of Bay City, James P. Rejcek, of Tyler and Leonard Rejcek, of Houston; grandchildren, Erika Lafata, Kristopher, Matthew, Andrew, Thomas, Timothy, Brian, Rhiannon and Joshua Rejcek and Derrick And Carissa Blocker; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Urban, of Bellmead; sister-in-law, Mary Rejcek, of Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
