Bio
Mary Ann Rejcek, 85, of Covington, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016, at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2015, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by a visitation until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Ouseph Thekkumthala as celebrant, assisted by Deacon Denver Crawley. Burial will follow in Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Mary was born in Abbott, Texas, to the late Peter P. and Ludmila "Lillian" (Soukup) Urban. She attended school in Abbott and was a 1948 graduate of Abbott High School. On May 31, 1949, Mary was united in marriage to Louis V. Rejeck in Abbott. Mary and Louis operated the family farm near Covington where they harvested wheat, milo, corn, cotton and did custom combining. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. She was also a 50 year member of the KJZT Society in Hillsboro. Mary enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and collecting recipes. She especially loved entertaining her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 8, 2015; a granddaughter, Stephanie Rejcek; brothers: Jim Urban, Eddie Urban, Benny Urban, Henry Urban, Rudolph Urban, Willie Urban, and an infant, Adolph; and sisters: Clara Janda, Christine Slovak, and Millie Rejcek. Survivors include her daughters: Teresa Truttmann and husband, Tom, of Covington, Veronica Theobald and husband, Bill, of Eden Prairie, MN, Bernadette Doty and husband, Monte, of Teague, Patty Haber, of Ft. Worth, and Mary Ann Kennedy; son, Louis J. Rejcek and Ginny Lewis, of Itasca; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A21
