Mrs. Barbara Trlica Succumbs in Waco Hospital Tuesday Mrs. Barbara Trlica, 64, a resident of this community for the past 35 years, passed away at the Providence Hospital in Waco at 3:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 1. Mrs. Trlica was taken to the Waco hospital about three weeks ago and underwent a gall stone operation a few days later. Her aggravated heart condition, with which she had suffered for many years, plus the operation from which she failed to rally as was expected, proved too much for her. Funeral services will be held from the residence at 9:00 o'clock and the Church of the Assumption in West at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning with the Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Interment will be at the Catholic Cemetery. The rosary was said for Mrs. Trlica at the residence at 9:00 o'clock Thursday night. Surviving are her husband, Martin Trlica; one son, M.E. Trlica; five daughters, Mrs. Rosie Matus of Elm Mott, Mrs. Lillian Matus of West, Mrs. Mary Domesle of Penelope, Mrs. Leona Nors of Elm Mott, and Miss Betty Trlica of West; three brothers, John, Martin and Frank Petter; one sister, Mrs. Johanna Halamik; and 21 grandchildren. Mrs. Trlica, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petter, was born in Czechoslovakia on May 10, 1880. With her sister, Mrs. Johanna Halamik, she came to tis country 51 years ago. She lived in South Texas for a number of years and then moved to this community where she was later married to Martin Trlica. One of her sons, Vince, aged 18, preceded her in death.
