John J. Sykora Dies; Services Held Wednesday John J. Sykora, 62, of Penelope died at 3:30 p.m. Monday in a Waco hospital. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at Abbott. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kotch Funeral Chapel at West. Mr. Sykora was born in West and had lived in the West area all of his life. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He was a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Georgia Sykora; one daughter, Mrs. Albert (Henrietta) Charanza, Sr., of Arlington; four brothers, August Sykora and Ludvik Sykora, both of West, Louis Sykora of Abbott and Andrew Sykora of Waco; one sister, Mrs. Mary Maca of Kingsville; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe A. Sykora and Daniel Svrcek, of West, Andrew Sykora, Jr., Waco, Bernard Lenart, Abbott, John Lee Girard, Lacy-Lakeview, and Alton A. Remmers, Sr., Kingsville.
