Bio

Joe W. Roznovsky, age 95, of Waco, formerly of the Penelope and West areas, passed away late Friday evening, May 13, 1994 at St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home in Waco. A rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as cerlebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mr. Roznovsky was born March 28, 1899 in Hallettsville, the son of Frank and Mary Roznovsky. He married Mary Matus on November 14, 1927 in Penelope. She preceded him in death on June 4, 1990. He was a farmer in the Penelope area before retiring in 1976 and moving to West. He was a member of the KJT Society No. 31 in West. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He is also preceded in death by one grandson, Mark Pibil who died in January of 1991. He is survived by one son, Al Roznovsky, and his wife Ann, of Waco; one daughter, Doris Pibil, and her husband Albert, of Abbott; two sisters, Stella Roznovsky and Ann Steffenson, both of Ft. Worth; two grandchildren, Michael Roznovsky and Lisa Casper, and her husband, Tim, all of Waco; and several nieces and nephews. Aderhold Funeral Home in West is in charge of arrangements.
