Albin "Al" Joe Roznovsky Feb. 19, 1931 - Nov. 4, 2021 Albin "Al" Joe Roznovsky passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021. A graveside service will be 3 p.m., Thursday, November 11, at St Mary's Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Al was born February 19, 1931, in Mount Calm, Texas, to Joseph and Mary Roznovsky. Al graduated from Penelope High School. After graduating from Penelope High School in 1948, he worked on his family farm until joining the Army where he proudly served two years in Europe. After his discharge from the Army, he moved to Waco and began working for the Waco Police Department, while at the same time, earning a Bachelor's degree in law enforcement at Baylor University. While on duty as a patrolman he met the love of his life, a young newspaper reporter named Ann Badolatti, whom he married on May 12, 1960. During his long career with the police department, he held many positions, including Detective and Patrol Lieutenant, before eventually attaining the rank of Chief of Police. He retired from the City of Waco, finishing his career as Personnel Director. In retirement, he enjoyed gardening, playing the guitar, and serving as Sergeant at Arms for the Rotary Club. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ann. He is survived by his son, Mike; his sister, Doris Pibil of Abbott; and a niece, Lisa Mynar of Abbott.
