Mrs. Edd (Frances L.) Nors, age 81 of West, passed away late Friday, May 5, 2000 at Hillcrest Hospital in West. A rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption by the Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Nors Was born December 11, 1918 in West, the daughter of John and Anna Polansky Kubacak. She married Edd A. Nors on October 23, 1939 in West. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1997. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a custodian for West High School from 1974 to 1984. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, Catholic Daughter's of America Court #829, K.J.Z.T. Society #31, St. Ann's Altar Society and National Catholic Women. Mrs. Nors enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking, working puzzles and playing with her grandkids. She is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Monica Matus who died June 24, 1964. Survivors include four sons, George Nors, Sr. and his wife Fran, Jerry Nors and his wife Elaine and Edward J. Nors, Sr. and his wife Lisa, all of West and James Nors and his wife Joan of Ennis; four daughters, Dorothy Matus and her husband Clarence of Bellmead, Bernice Holder and her husband Rodney of Aquilla, Annie Dudik and her husband Harry and Mary Sulak and her husband Edwin, all of West; one sister, Annie Cmerek of West; 27 grandchildren, David Matus and fiancee Michelle Byers, Becky Matus Lopez and her husband Anthony, George Nors, Jr., Rita Nors and fiancee James Watson, Julie Nors, Bill Holder, Daniel Holder and his wife Anne, Jonathan Holder, Jackie Nors Foshee and her husband Shane, Jeanie Nors Payne and her husband Scott, Jennifer Nors and her fiancee David Gurecky, Jessica Nors, Jamie Nors, Joseph Nors, Jerome Nors, Karen Nors, Sherry Dudik, Randy Dudik, Eddie Sulak and his wife Rachel, Chad Sulak, Shana Sulak, E. J. Nors, Misty Nors, Jeremy Nors and Alicia Nors; five great-grandchildren, Heaven Lopez, Jared Holder, Lane Holder, Cheyene Sulak and Tre' Sulak; three step-great-grandchildren, Brandon Foshee, Jessica Byers and Eric Byers; her beloved dog Sparky and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were David Matus, George Nors, Jr., Bill Holder, Joseph Nors, Jerome Nors, Randy Dudik, Chad Sulak and E.J. Nors. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
