Funeral Services Today For Mrs. John Kubacak, 74 Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today, Friday, at the Church of the Assumption for Mrs. John (Anna) Kubacak who passed away in a Waco hospital early Wednesday morning following a three-week illness. The Rev. George Doskocil will officiate at the services. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at Aderhold Chapel Thursday at 7:30 p.m. A native of Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Kubacak was born June 13, 1879 in Frenstat, Moravia. She came to the United States and the West Community at the age of 11 with her parents, John and Johanna Polansky, and had lived here since. She was married to John Kubacak here at the Church of the Assumption on August 27, 1906, and was a long-time member of the church's Altar Society. Mrs. Kubacak became ill with pneumonia some three weeks ago. She was carried to a Waco hospital last week and later complications led to her death at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday. Survivors are her husband, John C. Kubacak of West; three sons, John of Dallas, Frank of Elk, and Joe of West; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Smetak of Dallas, Mrs. Annie Cmerek of Aquilla, Mrs. Frances Nors of Abbott; two brothers, John Polansky and Frank Polansky, both of West; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
