Bio

Paul Nemec is Buried Monday Paul Nemec, age 76, passed away at his home six miles east of this city at 12:45 a.m. Saturday. He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Assumption in West, the Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold's Chapel. Deceased had operated a farm in this community for many years. He was a member of the KJT Lodge. Born in Poland, he came to America in 1891, and had lived in Texas for the past 45 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Nemec; five sons, Emil of Abbott, Joe of Midlothian, Louis of West, Frank of Dallas, Vinc of West; two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Tomasek of West and Mrs. Adelle Snapka of Mesquite; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Miss Zuzana Nemec, of Austin. Pallbearers were Joe Holy, Cyril Svrcek, Arnold Kotrla, Willie Kubala, Ludvik Pustejovsky, and Joe Sulak. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 60, No. 37, Edition 1, Friday, January 27, 1950, page 1.
