Frances Matus of West Dies Mrs. Frances Jane Matus, 73, of 1211 North Reagan in West dies Sunday afternoon in a Waco hospital. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, Rev. George Doskocil was celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mrs. Matus had lived in West the past 30 years. She was a housewife and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, KJZT Society No. 31, Catholic Daughters of America, Altar-Rosary Society, and SPJST Lodge No. 54 in West. Her husband, A.P. Matus, Sr. died April 25, 1972. Survivors include a son, A.P. Matus, Jr. of Route 1, West; five daughters, Mrs. Louise Johnson of Naples, Florida, Mrs. Francis Willis of Route 4, Waco, Mrs. Mary Jo Marek of Mart, Mrs. Betty Pareya of West and Mrs. Elizabeth Hejl of Elm Mott; two brothers, Louis Cvikel of Gardena, Calif., and Martin Cvikel of West; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Svacek, Mrs. Annie Dolezal, Mrs. Agnes Dolezal, and Mrs. Albina Brown, all of West; and Mrs. Millie Mitchell of Portland, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were David Pareya, James Wills, Bill Hejl, Michael Pareya, Steve Marek, and Mark Hejl. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Wm. N. Roddy and Dr. C. Collom Smith.
