Rosary was recited at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Funeral services were held at 10:15 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek, officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. The family received visitors at Kotch Funeral Home in West, from 5 til 7 p.m. Thursday. Miss Marek was born July 11, 1914 in Abbott, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Emilie Sula Marek of Penelope and a step-daughter of Mary Marek of Penelope. Lillie was very active and loved to cook and garden. She was employed at Kolacek's Kolace Kitchen for over 20 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Miss Marek was preceded in death by a brother, Frank W. Marek and two sisters, Mary G. Marek and Leona Kolar. Survivors include three sisters, Albina Howard of Penelope, Willie Mae Skerik and Josephine Kallus both of Abbott; three brothers, Joe Marek of Penelope, Leon Marek of Bellmead and Eugene Marek of Dallas. Active Pallbearers were Ronnie Skerik, Kenneth Kolar, Thomas Kolar, Alfons Kolar, Jr., Greg Marek and Larry Marek. Altar boy was Joseph Nors. Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
