Bio

Ed Marek Victim of Heart Attack Edward Marek, age 45, passed away at 8 p.m. Thursday as the result of a heart attack suffered about one hour before his death. He was stricken while enroute from Penelope to his home here. He was rushed to a Waco hospital where he was pronounced dead. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the West Catholic Church, Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Marek operated a farm produce store in West, having opened the business here a few years ago. He had been in ill health for some time due to a heart ailment. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Edward Marek; one daughter, Mrs. A.J. Gallia of West; two brothers, Joe and John Marek, both of West; three sisters, Mrs. Ailina Parma, Mrs. Mary Mynar and Mrs. Adele Petter, all of West.
