Requiem Mass Held Sat. For Edward D. Marek Edward D. Marek, 16, of Route 2, West, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday Dec. 11 at his home. Requiem mass was celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, West, with Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. George Doskocil. He was born in Hill County and lived in Hill and McLennan counties all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He was a member of the KJT Society No. 31, West, and SPJST Lodge No. 6, Cottonwood. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Marek; four brothers, Larry Marek, William Marek, Joseph Marek, and Johnny Marek; three sisters, Mary Ann Marek, Margaret Marek and Theresa Marek, all of Route 2, West, and one grandmother, Mrs. Mary Marek of West.
