Translation of the Czech newspaper, West Noviny, West, Texas, Volume 14, No. 23, Ed. 1 – Friday, June 5, 1925 Announcement of death and thanksgiving: A deep grief dejected, we are pleased to announce to all our friends and acquaintances that the Lord God loved to hearken to Him, our loyal and dear husband, father and brother, John Lenart, who went into eternity on Tuesday, June 2, at 1:15 in the morning in the year 1925, at the age 37 years, 11 months and 8 days, died in a Catholic hospital in Waco, after a disease, being provided with the last Sacraments. The mortal remains of deceased were deposited to rest on Catholic Cemetery close to West, Wednesday, June 3 at 10:45 in the morning. Funeral rites performed by Reverends Joseph A. Pelnar and W. Nesvadba. We feel obliged to give our most sincere thanks to Rev. Nesvadba for funeral ceremonies performed in the house of mourning, and Rev. Pelnar for the service of God, done in both the church and the cemetery, and uttered words of comfort. We also thank Mr. Piscacek, church organist, choir, for the songs, brothers of KJT local association, for participating in the funeral procession, all donors of beautiful flowers, to all those who during his illness visited him, he enjoyed it and we, in the hour of our grief, tried to make our grief less intense. Our thanks also include gravediggers and finally to all the pallbearers, who lastly on the path to eternal rest, accompanied him. Thank you all, God's reward!
