Services for Bernard John Lenart, 85, of Temple will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. He died Friday, December 12, in a local nursing home. Mr. Lenart was born in Tokio to John and Frances (Soukup) Lenart, and graduated from West High School in 1939. He attended Hill County Junior College and graduated from the Dallas School of Embalming in 1942. He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer with the Hewitt Funeral Home in Temple until 1945. He owned and operated Kabella Plumbing Co. since 1965. He married Alice Kabella on April 24, 1943 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple. He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime member of Temple Chamber of Commerce. Survivors are his wife, of Temple; a son Bernie Lenart of Temple; a daughter, Charlotte Ramm of Temple; three brothers, Bob Cervenka of Waco, Ed Cervenka of Dallas and Raymond Cervenka of Austin, two sisters, Tillie Dvoracek and Lil Nemecek, both of West; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
