Rud. J. Kapavik Funeral Services Held Thursday Rudolf Joe Kapavik of Route 1, Abbott, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday in a Waco hospital. He was 54. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. Rev. W. Pechal officiated, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the J.C. Karlik home in West. Msgr. I.J. Valenta officiated. Mr. Kapavik was born in West, but had been a resident of Abbott for many years. He was employed by Southern Toy Factory in Waco. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Barbara Kapavik of Waco; his mother, Mrs. Anna Kapavik of West; one brother, Frank Kapavik of West; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Karlik of West and Mrs. Sam Pendelton of El Paso. Active pallbearers were Gus Barton, Charlie Matus, Frankie Kapavik, Eddie Pavlica, Cecil Anderson, Rudolph Anderson.
