Bio
Gilbert R. Kallus passed away in Waco, Texas on December 4th, 2021 at the age of 93. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco, with a brief rosary service at 7 p.m. A private graveside service, for immediate family members, will be held at St Mary's Cemetery in West. Gilbert's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Gilbert was born in Penelope, Texas on August 31, 1928. He married Magdlen Olsovsky on July 27, 1950, and moved to Waco, Texas where he resided until his death. He is survived by his children, David W. Kallus (Nancy), Mark A. Kallus (Suzan), Molly J. Miller (Don), and Dennis J. Kallus (Kathleen). Grand-children include Lauren Kallus, Heather Kallus Galbraith, Brian Kallus, Andrew Kallus, Amanda Kallus Kaczenski, Ellen Miller Walsh, Ryan Kallus, and Scott Miller. Great-grandchildren include McKenna Galbraith, Isla Galbraith, Murray Galbraith, and Wesley Kaczenski. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles R. Kallus and Sophie Matus Kallus, and siblings, Elenora Kallus Svacina, Harry Kallus, and Patrick Kallus. OakCrest Funeral Home, Waco, Texas
