Frank Hutyra, age 78, of West, passed away Tuesday evening, May 24, 1994 in a West hospital. Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today (Thursday) in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Military Graveside Rites will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mr. Hutyra was born December 8, 1915 in Hill County and lived in the West area most of his life. He was a retired mechanic having worked for Kozelski and Sykora Family Ford for 37 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and the V.F.W. Post No. 4819 of West. He married Rosalie Grellhesl October 6, 1941 at West. Survivors include his wife, Rosalie of West; one son, Edward Hutyra of Burleson; one daughter , Evelyn Lassetter of Midland; one sister, Mrs. Joe (Mary Ann) Nors of HIllsboro; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Tommy Nors, Billy Nors, Richard Grellhesl, Edmund Sykora, Jarel Hutyra and Rudolph Rejcek. Honorary pallbearers are members of V.F.W. Post No. 4819.
