Mary Gerlich Of Abbott Dies Mrs. Mary A. Gerlich, 82, of Abbott died Thursday in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, Rev. W. Pechal as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Gerlich was born in McLennan County and had lived in the Abbott area 39 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Altar Society at the church and KJZT Society 104. Her husband, Henry A. Gerlich, died July 20, 1963. Survivors include two sons, Henry W. Gerlich and Benjamin J. Gerlich, both of Dallas; one brother, Frank Tichavsky; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Gerlich of West, Mrs. Hermina Rabel of Austin and Mrs. Frances Cleveland of Hillsboro; and one grandchild. Pallbearers: Eugene Gerlich, Vernon Gerlich, Harry Tichavsky, Louis Tichavsky, Jerry Bezdek and Edwin Grones.
