Mrs. Gerlich Of West Dies Mrs. Eugene Gerlich, Sr., 75, of West died Friday, August 20, in a West hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West with Rev. William Benish as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Gerlich was born in West and lived there most of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Gerlich, Sr.; two sons, William V. Gerlich of Lancaster and Eugene Gerlich, Jr. of Waco; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Macha of Troy, Mich.; a brother, Frank Tichavsky of Abbott; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Cleveland of Hillsboro and Minnie Rabel of Austin; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Harry Tichavsky, Raymond Tichavsky, Louis Tichavsky, Henry Gerlich, Benny Gerlich, and Mike Bezdek.
