Henry Gerlich Of Abbott Dies; Rites Monday Henry Albert Gerlich, age 69, resident of Abbott, passed away late Saturday night, July 20, 1963. Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, Rev. W. Pechal officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Sunday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mr. Gerlich was a retired merchant. He was a Catholic. Survivors are his wife, Mary A. Gerlich of Abbott; two sons, Henry W. Gerlich of Midland, and Benjamin J. Gerlich of Dallas; four brothers, Robert Gerlich and Eugene Gerlich both of West, August Gerlich of Ennis and Dan Gerlich of Santa Maria, California; three sisters, Mrs. Albina Podsednik of Dallas, Mrs. Emma Walters of Santa Maria, California, and Mrs. Henrietta Pratten of Ventura, California. Pallbearers were Eugene Gerlich of Waco, Louis Tichavsky of Hillsboro, Raymond Tichavsky, Jerry Bezdek, Adolf Grones and Ernest Kallus all of Abbott. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
