Mary B. Dudik, age 68, of Elm Mott, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 11, 1992 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, by Rev. Timothy Vaverek. Mrs. Dudik was born February 7, 1924 in Abbott, the daughter of Joe F. and Mary Bezdek. She attended Denton Hill and Threadwell schools and lived most of her life in the Hill County area. She married Edward Dudik, Sr. on November 8, 1942. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1962. She worked for J.M. Woods Manufacturing Co. in Waco, for West Rest Haven, and for Fab-Knit in Waco before retiring in the late 1970's to take care of her grandchildren. She was a member of he Catholic Daughter's of America in Bellmead, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2148 Ladies Auxiliary, and of the R.V.O.S. Lodge in Penelope. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead. She is also preceded in death by one son, Edward Dudik, Jr. who died May 2, 1991. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Tlustos of Elm Mott; three brothers, Jerry Bezdek of Abbott; Joe Bezdek of Aquilla and Danny Bezdek of Arlington; three sisters, Josephine Makovy of Mt. Calm, Evelyn Hanak of Arlington and Dorothy Dyer of Garland; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
