Bio

Edward J. Dudik, Jr., age 47, of Ross, died early Thursday morning, May 2, 1991, near Gholson from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Dudik was born January 16, 1944 in Temple, the son of Edward and Mary Dudik. He attended Penelope schools. He married Mary Ruth King on August 3, 1963 in West. He was a mechanic for Ponder's King Tire Company in Waco and previously worked for Steakley Brothers Chevrolet, Bill Harris General Tire, and Frank Weaver Pontiac, all in Waco and Kozelski Ford Motor Company in West. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Dudik, Sr., in September 14, 1962. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Dudik of Ross; his mother, Mary Bezdek Dudik of Elm Mott; six sons, Stephen Dudik of Whitney, Vincent Dudik and Edward J. Dudik, III, both of West, and Joseph Dudik, Kevin Dudik and Terrence Dudik, all of Ross; one daughter, Beverly Dudik of Waco; one sister, Mary Louise Tlustos of Elm Mott; and two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Gary Kreder, Jr., John Brian King, Bobby Tlustos, Jr., Michael Bezdek, Sam King, John King, Jr., Sammy Gerik, Craig Andrle and Jeremy Veselka.
