Bio
Rudolph J. Cepak, age 87, of Ennis, formerly of West, passed away Monday afternoon, November 6, 1995, at his residence. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, by the Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mr. Cepak was born March 7, 1908, near Tours, the son of Frank and Marie Cepak. He was raised and attended school in Tours. He married Lillian M. Petter on October 29, 1935, in West. They moved to Ennis in 1960. He was a farmer for most of his life, before retiring in 1973. He was a member of the K.J.T. Society No. 35 and a member of St. John's Catholic Church, both in Ennis. He was also an avid Texas Ranger Baseball fan and enjoyed gardening. He is preceded in death by a great-grandson, Branden Cepak who died January 22, 1988. He is survived by his wife, Lillian M. Cepak of West; six sons, Rudolph Cepak of Austin, Frank Cepak of Mesquite, and Harry Cepak, Jerry Cepak, Danny Cepak, and Ricky Cepak, all of Ennis; five daughters, Mary Ann Roznovsky and Helen Rey, both of Irving, Lillian Divin of Balch Springs, and Irene Martinek and Lucy Mikula, both of Ennis; one sister, Annie Zahirniak of West; 33 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Jimmy Roznovsky, Steve Divin, Robert Cepak, Billy Martinek, David Cepak, Kraig Mikula, Brandon Holubar and Luke Cepak. Aderhold Funeral Home in West is in charge of arrangements.
