Bio

Lucy Mikula, 75, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, in Ennis, Texas with her family by her side. Lucy was born on August 21, 1946, in West, Texas to Rudolph and Lillian (Petter) Cepak. Lucy grew up in West and Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1964. On October 14, 1967, Lucy married the love of her life, Edwin Mikula.  Originally they made their home in Dallas before moving back to Ennis in 1972. Lucy worked for Southwestern Bell for over thirty-one years in management.  Lucy was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis, the Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, Eucharistic Ministry, KJZT and Sokol. Lucy enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and gardening. Spending time with her family was always the best time for Lucy. Her family was the light of her life. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rudy Cepak. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Monsignor Henry Petter officiating. Pallbearers will be Frank Cepak, Harry Cepak, Jerry Cepak, Danny Cepak, Rick Cepak and Bennett Cepak. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
