The following marriage licenses were issued by County Judge Peebler during the past week: Frank Sykora and Anna Stella Cecava, Lawrence. ========================= The Fairfield Auxiliary (Fairfield, NE), Thursday, May 10, 1952; pg. 1 MRS. SKYORA'S RITES THURSDAY Anastasia Sykora, 70, of Deweese, died Monday in Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. Requiem Maas was held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese with the Rev. Anthony Trausch officiating. The rosary was recited in the church at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The body was taken to the home of her son, Leo, Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in St. Martin's cemetery (sic) near Deweese. Mrs. Sykora was born in! Czechoslovakia. She came to the Spring Ranch community when she was two years old. She later moved to a farm near Deweese. In 1946 she movd (sic) into Deweese. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church and the church Altar Society. Survivors Include two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Levesque of Fall River, Mass., and Mrs. Donald Consbruck of Juniata; two sons Leo and George, both of Deweese, and two brothers, Leo and Frank Cecava, both of Deweese. - Hastings Tribune.
