He is a great lover of animals and an excellent friend to everyone. he married a deaf schoolmate, Ive Hadley, and became the father of two fine sons. When his brother Owen left for New York City during the depression to find work, Owen's wife, Eva stayed 8 weeks and prepared the old family home for Rulon and Ivy to move into with their first baby, where they resided for two years.
