The Hastings Daily Tribune (Hastings, NE), Thursday, February 5, 1931; pg. 2 VAP - HAJNY DEWEESE, Feb. 5 - Miss Margaret Vap and Edward Hajny were married Tuesday morning at Louchky (sic) Church. A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Vap and a wedding dance was held in Community Hall in the evening. The couple will live on one of the groom's father's farms north of town. =============================================== HARVARD—Margaret J Hajny, 78, of Harvard died Wednesday, July 10, 1991, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. Rosary is at 8 p.m. at the McLaughlin Funeral Home chapel in Clay Center. Services are at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harvard with the Rev. William Grant officiating. Burial will be in the St. Martin's Cemetery near Deweese. Mrs. Hajny was born Jan. 10, 1913, at Deweese where she attended St. Martin rural school. She married Edward Hajny Feb.3, 1930, at St. Martin's Catholic Church. They farmed in the Fairfield area until moving to a farm north of Edgar in 1940. He died Sept. 17, 1973. She lived in Clay Center until moving to the Harvard Rest Haven nearly four years ago. Survivors are six sons, Lilburn of Danville, Ill., Lanucl "Lannie" of Hastings, Rolland of Fairfield and David, Robert and Alvin, all of Clay Center; two daughters, Delores Utecht of Hastings and Janet of Edgar: 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
