On Tuesday, October 26, at the Bohemian church west of Deweese occurred the marriage of Antone (sic) Lukasek and Antonia Dvorak. Their many friends join in wishing them a long and happy married life. ==================== Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Friday, November 5, 1909; pg. 4 At the Catholic church west of Deweese, on Tuesday, October 26, occurred the marriage of Mr. Anton Lucasek (sic) to Miss Tonie Dvorak. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Bleha, of the Catholic church at Fairfield. Mr. Frank Skalka and Mr. Josebh (sic) Krajicek acted as best men, and Miss Julie Janda and Miss Fannie Dvorak acted as bridesmaids. Frank Karmazin and Mrs. Zluvkousky acted as witnesses to the ceremony. After the ceremony the guests were taken to the Lucasek (sic), home, where a bountiful dinner was served. A large reception was held during the afternoon and evening at which a large number of friends of Mr. and Mrs. Lukasek gathered. The evening was spent in dancing and having a fine time in general. The Deweese band furnished music during the afternoon and evening. The groom is one of our prosperous young farmers and has a fine farm 5 miles south of Deweese, where they will make their home. The bride is one of our most popular Bohemian ladies. The people of this community join with The Hustler in wishing this estimable young couple long lives of success and prosperity. =================== Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Friday, May 25, 1917; pg. 1 Died Suddenly Anton Lucasek (sic), ag 46, five miles east of Lawrence, was in town Tuesday trading, with every evidence of being in his usual robust health. Returning home he retired for the night and sometime after 12 o'clock he became ill. The doctor was called but on arriving there found Mr. Lucasek (sic). Heart disease is given as the cause. A daughter by the first wife, who died several years ago, and a son and wife now survive. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at Deweese. ========================== The Deweese Booster (Deweese, NE), Friday, June 8, 1917; pg. 3 Anton Lukasek passed away suddenly at 3:30 a. m. Wednesday, May 23, at his home on the farm near here. Death resulted from heart failure. Anton Lukasek was a prosperous farmer and lived on the farm where he resided at the time of his death, for a number of years, being widely known. He had won a large circle of friends who knew him best. He leaves to mourn his loss hs wife Kucera, and a large number of relatives and a host of friends. The funeral services were held Friday, May 25, at 11 a. m. in the Assumption Beatrice Marie Virgin Catholic church (sic). Solemn Requein (sic) mass being celebrated by Rev. Father J. Kopecky , pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Father Al Gryce of Plasi, Neb, The funeral sermon was delivered by Rev. Father Kopecky. There was a large concourse of people gathered to pay the last respects to the beloved departed. Interment was made in the Deweese cemetery.
