Frank Lukasek Dies Frank Anton Lukasek, 81, of Hastings died Saturday, Oct. 3, 1992 at the Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion. Rosary was at 7:30 Monday evening and the funeral services were Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. both at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese with the Rev. Thomas Au officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Lawrence. Mr. Lukasek was born Jan. 28, 1911, near Lawrence. He attended Star School. On Nov. 26, 1933, he married Elizabeth Zlatkovsky in Deweese. They farmed in the Deweese area and retired in 1973 and moved to the Good Samaritan Village in 1984. Survivors are his wife and one son, Tony of Lawrence. The Rev. Thomas Au celebrated the Mass of the Resurrection and officiated at the burial service in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Lawrence, Nebraska. James Nejezchleb was acolyte and Craig Buescher was commentator at the Mass. Also they were the altar servers. Dennis Washburn, organist, accompanied Marian Souchek who led the congregational singing. Pallbearers were friends and neighbors: Wayne McClure, Edward Werner, Valerian Kucera, Ernest Blau, George Jedounek and John Synek. Rosary was led by Craig Buescher on Monday evening at 7:30 at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Deweese, Ne. Frank Lukasek, son of Anton and Antonia (Dvorach) Lukasek was born January 28, 1911 on a farm 5 3/4 miles east of Lawrence, Nebraska. He departed from this life on October 3, 1992 in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 5 days. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Deweese. He received his schooling in the Star rural school and had spent most of his life farming in the Deweese and Lawrence communities. On November 27, 1933 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Marie Zlatkovsky in Deweese and to this union one son Anthony was born. In 1973 he and his wife retired and in 1984 they moved to the Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebraska. For the past two years Frank has lived in Perkins Pavilion. He was preceded in death by his parents, half brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth of Hastings, one son Tony and wife Marita of Lawrence, other relatives and many friends. Relatives attending the funeral were from Lawrence, Hastings, Davenport, Juniata, Elm Creek, Sumner, Thornton, Co., Lexington, Blair, Omaha, Lincoln, Superior, Concord, Ca., Red Cloud, Fairfield and Nelson.
