Crawford County Democrat April, 1961 JOHN JOHNSON DIES IN COEUDON HOSPITAL ALTON - John Johnson, 74, died Friday morning in the Harrison County Hospital at Corydon. A farmer, he lived near here. He was a 50 - year-member of the Alton I. O. O./ F. lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Johnson; four sons John Johnson, of New Albany; Clifford Johnson, of Depauw, Joseph Johnson, of Alton; and James Johnson of Leavenworth; four daughters; Mrs. Alberta Forbes, of Gary; Mrs. Naomi Bernardi, Mrs. Alice Johnson, of New Albany, and Mrs. Jean Thompson, of Louisville; a brother Clecn Johnson of English, and 13 grandchildren. Final rites were held Sunday at 2 p. m. at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
