Bio

"The LaFayette Sun" - August 2, 1916: Death of an Aged Citizen. Mr. George W. Clemmons died at his residence near Tiller's Cross Roads, this county, last Friday, aged 90 years. Interment took place at Fredonia Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. J. T. Self, of Five Points. Mr. Clemmons was one of the oldest citizens in this section of the state. Besides the widow, the following children survive the deceased: Mr. A. Clemmons, Fredonia, Ala.; Mrs. J. W. Hunter, LaFayette, Ala.; Mrs. Oscar Patillo, Marvyn, Ala.; Mrs. Otis Tomlinson, Camp Hill, Ala.; and Miss Viola Clemmons.
