Member # 51152750. ========== "The LaFayette Sun", January 17, 1884: Mr. W. W. Clemmons, aged 104 years, died at the house of his son 6 miles east of this place (LaFayette) last Saturday morning about 5 o'clock. Mr. Clemmons was doubtless the oldest citizen of the county, being one of the frontier settlers. Old age was the cause of his death…… "The LaFayette Sun", January 23, 1884: Items Round About Hickory Flat - Mr. W. W. Clemmons of Wickerville is dead. "Uncle Wiley" was once a resident of our beat and a noted man. He was thought to be 100 years old. His remains were interred in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery on Sunday, a.m., the 13th last.
