Dorothy J. Reiman Dorothy Jane (Baker) Reiman of Blue Hill, Nebraska died Friday, February 4, 1994, at her home. She would have been 71 years on the day of her funeral. Dorothy was born February 8, 1923, in Adams County near Pauline, Nebraska, to William Dowl and Myrtle May (Stethem) Baker. On September 24, 1942, she was united in marriage to Ernest A. Reiman at St. Stephen's Catholic Church near Lawrence, Nebraska. This union was blessed with three children, Lois, Garry, and Burdel. Ernest and Dorothy farmed in the Bladen community until they retired and moved into Blue Hill. Dorothy also worked at the Hastings Regional Center for thirteen years. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest on August 16, 1984; her parents; three brothers Harold, Floyd and Guy; and four sisters, Agnes Hager, Jessie Kissler, Leona Schmidt, and Betty Mau. Services were Tuesday, February 8 at the Blue Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Baldeo Singh officiating. Marlys Kort, organist, accompanied Evart Barton, soloist. Musical selections were "Amazing Grace", "The Old Rugged Cross", and "How Great Thou Art". Pallbearers were Leland Lighthill, Don Kissler, Bill Kile, Terry Mau, Steve Hesman and Eldon Baker. Burial was in the Blue Hill Catholic Cemetery. Merten-Butler Mortuary of Blue Hill was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Blue Hill United Methodist Church.
