Bio

Thos. W. Vail, of Salida, a brakeman, died very suddenly of heart failure at 2:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon, July 13, at Salt Lake City, after an illness of four days. He was 34 years of age, and had been from this city but five months at the time of his death. His people, residing in this city at 527 H street, were at once notified of the sad event and his father, Engineer S. W. Vail, hastened to Salt Lake last evening to arrange for the burial. They had known nothing of his illness. At the time of press arrangements had not been completed for the interment, although it is probable that the body will he shipped to this city. Besides a widow, deceased leaves to mourn his loss a father and mother, two brothers, Steve and Leo, and two sisters, Geraldine and Mrs. Anna McMillan, all of Salida. and a brother, Herbert, of Salt Lake, and Wallace, of Los Angeles. He also has two other married sisters, Mrs. Marie Floyd, of Alamosa, and Mrs. Cathryn Kobisch, a June bride at present on an extended honeymoon east --The Salida Record (Salida, CO) Thu. 13 Jul 1911 ========================================
