Novato Advance Wednesday, March 8, 1978 LEO L. VAIL Mass of the Christian Burial was offered Friday for Leo L. Vail who died Wednesday in a local convalescent hospital at the age of 88. A native of Salida, Colorado, he grew up there and served in the military during World War I. He spent most of his life in the Los Angeles area where he worked as a golf caddy, among other jobs. He is survived by a sister, Catherine Cardinale of Santa Cruz. Inurnment was at Fairview Cemetery in Salida.
