Bio

Kathrine Hajny, daughter of Thos. Hajny was born 1849 in Bohemia. Died April 11, 1922, age 72 years. She came to America with her husband, Albert Lala and settled at Marion, Lynn County, Iowa in 1871. She moved, with her husband to Republic county Kansas 1878. Mr. Lala died in 1880. Later she was married to A. Kindler and moved to Jewell County in 1881. She was the mother of 11 children, two of whom have proceeded her to the other world. Her husband, Mr. Kindler died in 1904. There remains to mourn her loss by her first husband, four sons and one daughter. Joseph, who lives in Bohemia, Frank and Albert of Kirwin, Kansas; James of Woodston, Kansas and Mrs. Anna Haegart of Esbon, and by her second husband, two daughters, Mary Shackelton of Lebanon, Kansas; Rosie Vaboril of Esbon, Kansas and one son, John of Esbon, also 24 grand children three brothers and four sisters and other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Kindler had lived continuously near Esbon since coming to Jewell county and had a great many friends. Since the death of her husband she had made her home with her son, John Kindler and she came to her death at St. Marys Hospital at Kansas City, Mo. Her six grandsons acted as pall bearers.
