“Per family information obtained from David Hajny, Thomas Hajny was born December 20, 1825 in Nuzicich, house number 27. He married Anna Cvachova who was born in 1829 in Radeticich. Thomas Hajny’s parents were Vaclav and Anna (Polakova) Hajny. He was from Nuzice and she was from Krakovcice. Thomas had brothers and sisters, Vaclav, Katherine, Anna, Maria and Frank.” “Thomas and Anna Hajny had twelve children per her obituary but nine children are known. Katherine Hajny who married Albert Lala and then Anton Kindler, she died on April 11, 1922. Mary Hajny born January 2, 1856 married Joseph Moraveck, she died June 27,1939. Frank Hajny born in 1858 married Mary Johanek, he died in 1928. James Hajny born October 25, 1861 married Anna Kavan and died on March 7, 1937. John Hajny born 1867 married Elizabeth Buresh and then Mary Votova. He died in 1938. Annie Hajny married Rudolph Novacek. She was born in 1869 and died in 1950. Tomas Hajny born March 24, 1870 married Frances Novacek. He died July 6, 1898. Barbara Hajny married James Shonka. Elizabeth Hajny born August 1, 1878 never married and died on September 5, 1931.” “Thomas Hajny age 40, Anna age 44, Marie age 14, Frank age 9, James (Wenzl) age 8, John age 6, Anna age 4, Thomas age 2 and Barbara age 3 months came to New York on May 19, 1870 on the ship the Bremen.
