Winnie Mabel Larson was born on a farm east of Saint Edwards in Platte county, NE, and passed away at her home in Arcadia following an illness of Brights disease and complications which terminated in a stroke of apoplexy two weeks previous to her death. She was united in marriage to Fred J. Russell of Monroe, NE. They resided at Monroe for a year after which they moved to Arcadia where they have made their home since. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church. The Up-to-date Club, of which Mrs. Russell was ex-president attended in a body. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, five living children, Ora, Dwain, Alberta, Ada and Winifred all of Arcadia and three grandchildren, Milo and Wayne Woody and Jean Russell; one daughter Mrs. Paul [Ethel] Woody preceded her in death in 1930; six sisters, Mrs. Ida Watts and Mrs. Tillie Watts both of Genoa, Mrs. John Smith of Los Angeles, CA, Mrs. Tom Hill of Denver, CO, Mrs. Eva Perkins of Omaha, Mrs. Virgil Atkins of Sidney, three brothers, Frank Larson of Genoa, Joe Larson of Loretta and Harry of Staint Edwards. A sister and brother preceded her in death some years ago.
