Bio

Emma Berger Housewright, 86, of Tours, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in West. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West by Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery near Tours. Survivors include a son, Basil S. Housewright Jr. and wife Donna of Sugarland; three daughters, Linda Lander and husband Woody, and Cindy Zapalac and husband Mark, all of West, and Karen Mazanec and husband Mike of Carrollton; eight grandchildren; one great-grand son, and her dog Jude. Mrs. Housewright considered St. Martin's Catholic Church of Tours her second home. She has requested that memorials be made to the church's current renovation project.
