The Purcell Register, OK, Dec. 23, 2003: A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Angeline Prescher, 87, of Lexington Dec. 24, 2003 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell with the Rev. Mike Vaught officiating. Interment was at Lexington Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. Mrs. Prescher died Dec. 22, 2003 at her daughter's home in Lexington. She was born Feb. 9, 1916 in Scotland, Texas, the 10th of 14 children of Henry H. Vieth and Theresia Flies Vieth. She was reared on a farm near Scotland. On May 19, 1936 she married Frank Joe Prescher in Archer City, Texas. In 1949 they bought a farm east of Lexington where they farmed and operated a dairy for many years. Mrs. Prescher worked as a homemaker and as a farmer's wife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Joe Prescher Dec. 4, 1989; her parents; a son, Jerry Prescher; two grandchildren, Mary Ann Allen and Greg Farley; a great-grandson, Jordan Michael Caldwell; six brothers, Frank, Joe, John, Bill, Henry and Gus Vieth and three sisters, Katie Hemmie, Francis Hilberts and Mary Robertson. Survivors include four daughters, Anna Mae Allen, Loretta Farley and her husband, G.P., Doris Caldwell and her husband, Harold, and Linda Vieux and her husband, Lewis, all of Lexington; three sisters, Bertha Edler of Elk City, Agnus Schneider of Scotland, Texas, and Annie Walsh of Leveland, Texas; a sister-in-law, Pauline Vieth of Scotland, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Chris Vieux, Kevin Caldwell, Paul Farley, Shannon Farley, Bobby Allen and Randy Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Todd Caldwell, Mike Caldwell, Daniel Caldwell, Rick Farley, David Allen, Angela Vieux and Cindy Sweatte. Mass offering may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
