Born to Joseph and Rosalie Baier Wanke. Married Julius Filer in Tours on November 19, 1895. They had nine children. --------------------------- Funeral Rites For Mrs. Filer Held In Tours Mrs. Vickie Filer of Rt. 2, West, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday in a Gainesville hospital. She was 86. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tours. Rev. Ed Geiser officiated with burial in St. Martin’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold-Moore Funeral Chapel in West. Mrs. Filer was born in Austria but had lived in the West area most of her life. She belonged to St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tours. Survivors are four sons: Albert Filer of Waco, Joe Filer of Tours, and Paul Filer and Isadore Filer of Houston; three daughters: Mrs. Annie Yosten of Muenster, Mrs. Rosa Berger of Tours, and Mrs. Mary Willenborg of West; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
