Clement "Kelly" Karlik, Sr., age 72, of Garland, passed away June 7, 1995 at Baylor Medical Center in Garland. Funeral services were June 9 at the Church of the Nazarene in Hillsboro with the Rev. Larry Foster officiating. Interment was at Hillcrest Garden of Memory. Mr. Karlik was born September 18, 1922 in West. He was the son of Joseph Cyril and Anastasia (Patek) Karlik. He was a retired Food Service Director in the public schools. He served in the U.S. Army-Air Force during World War II. He lived in Kermit most of his life. He married Evelyn Elaine Bessire on July 13, 1942. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bessire Karlik of Garland; two sons, Clement "Kelly" Karlik, Jr. of Garland and Casey Joe Karlik of Mesquite; a sister-in-law, Medwin Karlik of Fort Worth; two aunts, Frances Kolar and Rosie Holecek, both of West; and six grandchildren.
