The Nebraska City News Jun 2, 1914 Page 4, Col. 3 (originally published in the Palmyra Items, Palmyra, Nebraska --no microfilm of that newspaper available) Margaret Beecham was born in Butler Co., Nebraska, May 24, 1872; was 42 years and 2 days old at the time of her death, which followed a severe operation in St. Joseph's hospital at Omaha, Tuesday evening, May 26, 1914. Besides a husband and one son eight years old, she leaves an aged mother, Mrs. Margaret Mahoney of this place and two sisters, Mrs. Daniel Powers of Ulysses, Nebr., and Mrs. C. F. Leppert of Omaha; also five brothers, M. W. Mahony of Gervais, Oregon, T. F. Mahoney of Portland, Oregon, W. J. Mahoney of Kearney, Nebraska, Jas. P. Mahoney and John F. Mahoney from this city. Funeral services were held from St. Leo's church Friday morning. ----- Margaret's mother and father were from Kilworth, County Cork, Ireland they married there in 1858, her oldest three siblings were born there.
