Josie Hogue Harris ATHENS - Services for Josie Hogue Harris, 91, Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel in Athens with Rev. Terry Don Adair and Rev. Charles Gurley officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Harris died May 2, 2009, in Athens. She was born Feb. 2, 1918, in Henderson County to the late James Hiram and Emily Delura Culpepper Hogue and was a lifelong resident of the county. She was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband Eugene V. Harris, Sept. 19, 1997, and sons, Roy Harris and Joel Glyn Harris; brothers, Climoth J. "J.C." Hogue, J. Clifton Hogue, Hiram Haskell Hogue; and sister, Brunette Benge. Survivors include son, Billy Harris and wife Barbara, Athens; sisters, Willie B. Lee, Tennessee, Beulah Faye Dunlap, Athens; special sister-in-law, Lucille Hicks, Athens; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will include Ricky Harris, Billy Wayne Harris, Gary Harris, Kelly Harris, Kerry Harris and Harry Hogue. Family will receive friends at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
