A graveside service was held for Haskel "Preacher" Hogue, 89, of Dallas, for 11 a.m. Thursday at Payne Cemetery in Eustace with the Rev. Walter Lynn Zimmerman officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. Mr. Hogue passed away Jan. 24, 2005, in a Mesquite hospital. He was born May 24, 1915, in Hopkins County to James Hiram and Emily Delura Culpepper Hogue. Mr. Hogue had , been a house painter for 42 years. He was preceded in dea1h by his parents. Survivors include his sons, Thomas Haskel Hogue of Crandall and Edward Glen Hogue of Benbrook; sisters, Willie Bea Lee of Chattanooga, Tenn., Bulah Dunlap of Dallas and Josie Dee Harris of Athens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
